27 Nov 2013 – Allowing Immigration from Bulgaria and Romania is madness

In 5 weeks time Britain will open its borders to Bulgaria and Romania. This is because transitional controls are being lifted and both countries are now joining the free movement of people within the EU.

Britain already has far too high levels of immigration currently with net migration at 176,000 for last year. The government has hopeless failed to deliver on its pledge to bring immigration down to the tens of thousands. The pressure on our schools, hospitals and housing is already at breaking point. Not to mention the fact that we currently have a million young people in Britain who can’t get work.

Migration watch estimates that at least 50,000 people per year will come to Britain from Bulgaria and Romania. How on Earth are we going to be able to provide services for even more people?

The Government solution to this approaching problem is just to bury its head in the sand, saying there’s nothing we can do about it and we don’t think many people will come to Britain. This is government failure and a massive error of judgment. This shows how out of touch the three main political parties are. The lib/lab/con alliance doesn’t want to talk about immigration and they certainly don’t want the public to know that while we are in the EU we can’t control who comes into our country from Europe.

The political establishment have got form on this we have been here before in 2004 when the 10 eastern European countries joined the EU the government said only 13,000 people would come to Britain it actually turned out that over a million came to Britain.

UKIP is the only political party in Britain that wants to get control of borders back under the power of the British government, we are against an open door immigration policy that the other 3 parties are wrongly wedded to and we want controlled and limited immigration.
